Inhalation of respirable dust causes a spectrum of respiratory disease. This symposium will present information on the use of digital radiography to assess the presence and severity of pneumoconiosis, describe strategies to conduct surveillance and implement policies to reduce the prevalence of dust-induced lung disease, and describe radiographic findings and pulmonary function in particular industrial groups.
